This stellar new XL Alaskan from Behring Made™ is a truly outstanding tool. The blade is hand forged from 1/4" thick 5160 spring steel and it measures 6" from tip to guard with just over 2" of belly and a razor sharp hollow grind, hammermarks and forced patina blued finish. The blued steel guard is soldered in place above black fiber, aluminum, copper and musk ox boss spacers in addition to a high figure fossil walrus ivory handle that's pinned through the tang with aluminum.
