Artifact Walrus Ice Tester & Ebony Blued Pintail
This beautiful new Behring Made™ Pintail is hand forged from 1/8" thick high carbon 01 tool steel and it measures 3 3/4" from tip to guard with a razor sharp hollow grind, hammermarks and our forced patina gun blued finish. The blued steel guard is soldered in place above black fiber, aluminum, copper and black ebony wood spacers, and the handle is a remarkable artifact walrus ivory artifact that was used to test the durability of frozen bodies of water as native Alaskan tribes would hunt and fish the sub-zero terrain. The overall length measures 8 1/2" and it comes in a Warlander Leather pouch sheath.
