This knife is from James' earliest days of making knives- somewhere between 2005 and 2011 when he was in Michigan, still working for his dad at Treeman Knives. In those years his own knives were marked J. Behring Jr. Handmade and are a gem for any discerning collector. You're looking at a classic fighter that is hand forged from 3/16" thick high carbon 01 tool steel and it measures 6" from tip to guard with a razor sharp convex grind. The tall nickel silver guard is soldered in place above black fiber, copper and ivory micarta spacers with a premium sambar stag handle that's pinned with aluminum and also features a butt compass. Overall length measures 10 1/2" and it comes in a Sullivan Leather sheath.
