This remarkable old Camp Knife from James Behring is from his pre-Behring Made™ Michigan era of making knives with his father, and it's an excellent opportunity for the serious collector or investor. The blade is hand forged from Studebaker leaf springs and it features the Studebaker S logo in the hammermarks as well as a "
J Behring Jr Handmade" stamp, plus it measures 10 1/4" from tip to guard with a razor sharp hollow grind and a hammermark finish. The nickel silver guard is silver soldered to the tang above black, white and maroon fiber with musk ox boss spacers, and the handle is made from a premium artifact walrus ivory ice-chisel that we pinned through the tang with aluminum for a rock solid construction. The overall length measures 16 1/4" and it comes in a Mosher Leather sheath and a black zipper case.
