Two Piece Ivory Cotton Sampler

This Behring Made features a unique 4" cotton sampler blade that is hand forged from 01 tool steel and has a hammermark finish. The cotton sampler is a very old style of knife that was used by cotton buyers. To determine cotton quality, they would cut samples from bales as they came out of the gin- and this was the blade commonly used. This Behring Made has a nickel silver guard that is complimented by black, white, maroon, aluminum, and fossil walrus ivory spacers. The handle is also fossil walrus ivory with a beautiful pale cream to dark brown range and aluminum pin. The overall length is 8 1/2" and it comes in a handmade leather sheath.
