This beautiful Hunter from Jim Behring, AKA Treeman Knives features a Scagel kris, "J. Behring Handmade", the retired Treeman logo and the USA stamp on the opposite side. The blade is hand forged from 3/16" thick high carbon 01 tool steel and it measures 4" from tip to guard with a razor sharp convex grind and a mirror polish finish. This knife was stored in excellent condition and is a great addition to any discerning collector's safe. The brass guard is soldered in place above black and maroon fiber with brass spacers that are a perfect compliment to the sambar stag handle that's pinned through the tang with brass. The overall length measures 8 1/2" and it comes in a custom horsehide leather sheath from Jack Mosher as well as a Treeman zipper case. The Treeman is making considerably fewer custom handmades lately, so any opportunity at a one of his customs is a wise one.
